Jakrawal Nilthamrong's Intransit takes its cue from old-school special effects that were once a mainstay of pre-CGI science-fiction films. Using lo-fi techniques like steam and liquid substances to concoct stunning, impossible worlds, Intransit makes great use of 35mm's materiality as it also explores the labour behind the spectacle.
